    About Us

Founder of the Plantar Fascia Clinic & Creator of The Plantar Fascia Method

Ben Leyson is a physiotherapist based in Woolgoolga, NSW, with a clinical focus on assessing and treating people with plantar fasciitis.

After years of seeing people try rest, stretching, orthotics, injections and multiple treatments without the improvement they were hoping for, Ben became frustrated that many people still weren't getting the experience they were looking for.

That led him to spend months studying plantar fasciitis in depth and testing a more structured approach in clinical practice. Over the following years, that approach continued to evolve through working with hundreds of people experiencing heel pain.

The result is The Plantar Fascia Method—a structured framework that aims to assess the factors that may be contributing to overload and select management strategies based on your assessment findings and current stage.

Today, the clinic focuses exclusively on plantar fasciitis, allowing every assessment, treatment plan and educational resource to be centred around a single condition.

    Why This Clinic Exists

"People with plantar fasciitis deserve more than generic advice."

Many people arrive after trying multiple treatments with little lasting success. Rather than focusing only on the painful area, Ben's approach considers the whole movement system, looking at factors such as foot function, ankle mobility, strength, walking mechanics and how these interact to influence loading through the plantar fascia.

Every treatment plan is individualised, with the goal of helping patients better understand their condition and build confidence in managing it over time.

    My Philosophy

I believe people are best supported when they understand why their pain may have developed, not just what to do about it.

My role is to provide a thorough assessment, explain what may be contributing to your symptoms, and guide you through a structured rehabilitation plan that is practical, progressive and tailored to your individual needs.

Whether your goal is walking comfortably, getting back to running, or simply enjoying everyday activities again, my aim is to help you move forward with greater confidence and a clear plan.

    What Makes Our Approach Different?

Rather than relying on a single treatment, The Plantar Fascia Method combines assessment, education, hands on treatment where appropriate, progressive exercise and self management into one structured framework.

Every patient receives a personalised plan based on their presentation, with ongoing guidance to help them understand what to do, when to progress, and how to reduce the likelihood of recurring symptoms.
